SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY

Heritage Baptist Church has an exciting and dynamic Sunday School.  Because of space limitations, Sunday School takes place for the children at the same time as the main service takes place for the adults. This begins at 10:00 am.  Sunday school is an exciting place for your children on Sunday morning.  There is singing, character training, but most of all, lessons from God’s Word.   There is something for everybody on Sunday morning.  We have a nursery for children under two.  We have classes for everyone from age two, right on up through grade eight. High school students and the adults meet in the auditorium for the service.  I’m sure that you will find the Sunday School at Heritage to be a beneficial place for you and your children. It is a time when you can and will be challenged from God’s Word while your children are receiving teaching from God’s Word as well.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

The youth ministries are an integral part of the ministry at HBC.  We have a large, growing, exciting youth program.  Our Jr. High (grade 6-8) and our Sr. High (grades 9-12) meet on Friday nights at 6:30.  We do all sorts of different activities from gym nights, to games nights, to go carting, to scavenger hunts, and many, many more.  We meet every Friday night with the exception of the first Friday of the month.  We call that Family night, and encourage families to do things together.  For a schedule of Friday activities, click on the “HBC Youth” link on the right hand side of the page.  We also have a teen class on Wednesday nights where we have singing, games, Bible study, and prayer time.  This is a great opportunity for the teens to have some fun, pray together, and study God’s Word together.  Also on Wednesdays, we have teenage soul-winning.  We meet at the church at 4:00 pm, and go out knocking on doors in our community to invite them to church and share with them the Gospel.  HBC also hosts an annual youth conference.  Teens come in from across Ontario and Quebec to attend this conference.  There are games, activities, skits, singing, and of course great preaching.  The dates for the conference this year are April 26th – 28th.  For more information, see the Youth Conference link or contact Pastor Brett at the church office.  During the course of the year, we take our teens to several different places for conferences and camps.  We attend a winter camp near London.  There are summer camps at the same place.  We also take a trip each summer to conferences in Tennessee, Oklahoma, or both.  Every 2 or 3 years we take a missions trip in the summer.  These summer trips are a real highlight for our teenagers.
